At Catalina Foothills, our choir program is more than singing. It's about shaping thoughtful, expressive musicians who imagine, create, perform, and connect through the power of music.
Our students:
-
Imagine, plan, and compose original musical ideas using melodies and rhythms inspired by the texts and music they study in rehearsal.
-
Refine and share their creations with care, using feedback and collaboration to shape meaningful musical moments, both individually and as part of an ensemble.
-
Perform with purpose, selecting a diverse repertoire that reflects varied cultures, styles, and emotions. They grow as interpreters, developing expressive and technical skills through ongoing rehearsal and peer feedback.
-
Respond with insight, analyzing the intent behind musical works and deepening their understanding of how music communicates meaning across time and context.
-
Connect music to life, drawing on their interests and experiences while exploring the rich relationships between music, the arts, and the wider world.
In every rehearsal and performance, our students develop confidence, creativity, and community. With every note, they learn to listen, to lead, and to lift their voices together.
