New Teacher Induction: Great Beginnings

"This was the best NTO [New Teacher Orientation] I have ever been to, and I've been to at least 5 in my career. The presentations were clearly organized and had a definite forward goal. Everything was presented in such a positive and logical manner. I am so excited to be a part of this district!"

"I feel super supported and excited to not only start the year with my students but to approach the year as a student myself, growing and learning through self-reflection and the amazing support system for me and my professional development."

“I do not have enough good things to say about this program. Coming from another district and having recently finished their induction program, I can truthfully say that the CFSD program is much [more] effective. It is teacher-motivated, in that we as the teachers drive the outcome of our sessions with the coaches. IF I needed more, more would be offered."

"[My mentor] has a lot of experience and is very helpful."

“The Great Beginnings program was instrumental to my success as a new-to-the-district teacher. I learned my values aligned with the district’s in ensuring all students are given the opportunity to learn. The program is important as it offers strategies to increase student engagement, a vital component of the high school’s (and district’s) overall success.”

“Having an experienced mentor by my side offering valuable insights and observing my classroom practices, was invaluable. Her guidance equipped me with essential tools and strategies, transforming my teaching approach and bolstering my confidence.”
