87 Falcon Musicians Selected to 2026 Southeast Regional Band/Orchestra

Congratulations to the 87 Catalina Foothills High School musicians who have been selected to the 2026 Southeast Regional Honors Ensembles. Sixty-seven band students were selected to the Regional Band/Orchestra Winds/Percussion, and 20 orchestra students were selected to the Regional Honors Orchestra. Selection to both ensembles is based on audition, and it represents one of the highest honors a high school musician can earn in Southern Arizona.
Having 87 students selected from a single school is an extraordinary showing and a reflection of the depth and quality of the CFHS music program. These students have put in hours of individual practice, sectional rehearsals, and private study to perform at this level. Their selection is a credit to their own dedication and to the instruction they receive from CFHS band director Renee Shane-Boyd, orchestra director Ryan Watson, and the music faculty.
The music program at Catalina Foothills High School is built on a foundation that begins in elementary school, where all CFSD students receive music instruction from certified specialists, and continues through middle school band and orchestra offerings. By the time students reach high school, many have had years of training that prepares them to compete at the regional and state level.
We are incredibly proud of every one of these musicians. Congratulations, Falcons!
