Students who earn the Arizona Seal of Biliteracy demonstrate levels of proficiency that provide them with advantages and opportunities in terms of social and family connections, academic options, brain health, and career prospects. There are also internal shifts in thinking that take place when we learn new languages and these are equally, if not more, significant. Learning new languages changes how we see the world and how the world sees us. Studying another language can help us to better understand ourselves while simultaneously allowing us to discover new ways of thinking, being, and interacting at a local and global level. With that in mind, we congratulate CFSD students who have earned the Arizona Seal of Biliteracy as they have reached enviable levels of proficiency in English and other languages. In doing so, they have also acquired a valuable key to success in the world in which they live.
