Orange Grove Middle School is pleased to announce that we received a matching grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts, the state arts agency. The Arizona Commission on the Arts is an agency of the State of Arizona whose mission is to create opportunities for all Arizonans to participate in and experience the arts.
This grant supported a integrated projects for seventh grade English classes, eighth grade Science classes and all Studio Art classes. Commission grants are awarded through a competitive public panel process. This grant signifies that OGMS provides programs of high artistic quality, serves the needs of the community, and demonstrates administrative ability, as well as meeting other criteria.
This grant was made possible through funding not only from the State of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts, but also from our very own FFO. I would like to personally thank the FFO and the Arizona Commission on the Arts for all of their help both in supporting this grant and for everything else they do to help support our schools.
Thanks again and let's keep the Arts alive! — Laura Johnson
