Over one-half of Catalina Foothills School District middle school students participate in after-school enrichment activities and athletics offered through Community Schools. Students can choose to join a school team, improve athletic skills, make new friends while learning something new or explore the outdoors. No matter what the interest, Community Schools offers fun and well-supervised after-school activities at Orange Grove Middle School.

Activity Bus Schedule

Crunch and Munch $80 Mondays & Wednesdays- Music Room
Join us for some fun! Sign up with friends! A mix of aerobics/kickboxing, air boxing, weights, power walking, yoga and zumba latin dance! We also make and eat delicious, healthy snacks. A $5.00 material fee is due to the instructor at the first class. Meet in the Music room. Instructor: Ms. Horn

Chess $40 Tuesdays at CFHS, House 3-room509 - 6:00-7:30pm
Open to all ability levels. Students meet weekly to build strategy and play games. There will be opportunity for tournament play. Mr. Larsen is the coach. REGISTER NOW!


Drama $40 Wednesdays - Art room
Lights! Camera! Action! Learn the fun-damentals of acting in this class. You’ll learn pantomime, improvisation, vocal expression, character development and script reading/memorization. This class will conclude with the performance of a play! Come join the fun.

Jazz Band $40 Thursdays
The OGMS Jazz Band is made up of students who have auditioned to be a member of the ensemble. Students will learn jazz basics, such as: improvisation skills, music theory, and the different styles used in jazz playing. Yogalates $40 Wednesdays -room 502
This class involves a combination of Yoga & Pilates with stretching, breathing techniques, yoga postures and muscle toning. Join Ms. Pavlakovic for this fun way to improve your overall fitness. Ms. Pavlakovic REGISTER NOW!


Teen Volunteer Club $40 Mondays room 601
If you are looking for some fun after school, want to learn leadership skills, and have ideas for service projects, then join the OGMS Teen Volunteer Club. Study Hall Monday - Thursday, Library
Work on homework assignments or independent reading and get extra help if needed. After homework is finished, some time will be spent on an “active” activity. You may sign up for the days you want, please specify wheen registering. $33 for one day, $53 for two, $73 for three, $93 for all four.

ATTENTION: Attendance is taken for all Extended Day Activities & absences must be phoned in by parents to the school office by 2:00 p.m. the day of the class.
Note: Students must be picked up on time. A $1 per minute supervision fee will be charged for those who remain on campus after 4:30.
REFUNDS/CHANGES: When dropping out of activities after the first class, you will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given after the 2nd day of class.
Tuition assistance is available to families that may need it. Please contact Pompea Barillari to obtain a subsidy form.

Girls' 7th/8th grade Interscholastic Volleyball $135 (includes tournament fee) Monday-Thursday
Come with your Panther Pride and join the OGMS Girls’ Volleyball team. Emphasis will be on sportsmanship, team
and individual skills, strategies, and participation. 7th and 8th grade students will compete against other schools in the Northwest League.

Boys' Interscholastic Baseball $128(includes fee for caps) Monday through Thursday

Interscholastic Coed Track and Field $120 (includes fee for invitational) Monday through Thursday on Track
Do you enjoy running, field events and sprinting? All 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are invited to join the Orange Grove Track team. Students will learn and practice the different events in track and field, ranging from long distance running to high jump. Students will compete against other schools in the Northwest League. Early Release Activities

Friday Zone $85 Early Release Fridays 12:30-4:30 room 700
A different activity every Early Release Friday! Sports, games, crafts - something for everyone! Students must be picked up by 4:30pm. No activity bus provided. Painting Class $20 Friday, April 9- 12:30-2:30 PM, Art room
Regardless of your artistic ability, in only two hours you can create your own masterpiece with this simple, step-by-step instruction. If you can hold a brush, you can do it! Instructor Haydee Pack has an art degree and has been teaching this specialized form of painting to children and adults for sixteen years. A $39 material fee is due to Ms. Pack at the class. .
