The goal of our governing board is to set the strategic direction of our 21st century learning agenda for the benefit of all CFSD students.
Members
Governing Board Members
The CFSD Governing Board consists of five members who are elected for four-year terms. The superintendent - the chief executive officer of the district - is responsible for carrying out board objectives on such matters as policy, budget, staffing, and curriculum. The superintendent is also principal advisor to the board regarding educational matters, preparing and recommending budgets, employing staff (subject to board approval), administering school facilities, services and programs, recommending boundaries, and implementing rules and procedures consistent with board policy.

Meetings
The Governing Board holds its regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month (except July and December). Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m., Catalina Foothills High School, House 4, Room 712.
Notices and Agendas
Notices and agendas are posted on this website, at Murphey Administration Center and each school site. Information regarding board agendas may be obtained by calling the District Office at 299-6446.
Public Participation
The board invites community members to share their ideas during the "Public Comments" at the beginning of each meeting's agenda. Remarks are limited to four minutes.
