Catalina Foothills School District has partnered with the SchoolMessenger notification system as the primary tool for sending bulk communication to parents. CFSD has used SchoolMessenger e-mails to inform parents of upcoming district and school events, and to send out voice calls in emergency or student safety situations.
Important Note: The SchoolMessenger database is updated nightly based on parent contact data in our Synergy Student Information System. Please log in to ParentVUE to update your contact information, and that information will automatically update SchoolMessenger within one day. You may then use InfoCenter to customize the types of information you receive via e-mail, text, and phone.
InfoCenter (Parent Portal and Mobile App): Parents and guardians can customize how they want to receive messages and where they want them sent. By browsing to https://infocenter.schoolmessenger.com, or by downloading the convenient app for iPhone or Android phones, you can get access to a portal that stores all CFSD communications sent to you for the past 30 days. Text Messaging: The SchoolMessenger platform also allows for SMS text communication. You must “opt in” to receive this form of communication, and it is very easy to do!
From a mobile number associated with your ParentVUE account, text “subscribe”, “opt in”, or “yes” to the number 68453. If your message was successful, you will receive the following reply message: You are registered to receive approx. 3 msgs/mo. Txt STOP to quit, HELP for help. While the reply message states you can receive approximately 3 messages per month, there really isn’t any limit. However, the “rules” require that a number be stated and SchoolMessenger has chosen to use “3”. Please note that CFSD does not pay for any wireless charges associated with text messaging. Please check your wireless plan for possible charges before you “opt in” to receive any messages.
To “opt out” at any time, text STOP to 68453. You may also opt out using your InfoCenter account.
