The superintendent - the chief executive officer of the district - is responsible for carrying out board objectives on such matters as policy, budget, staffing, and curriculum. The superintendent is also principal advisor to the board regarding educational matters, preparing and recommending budgets, employing staff (subject to board approval), administering school facilities, services and programs, recommending boundaries, and implementing rules and procedures consistent with board policy.
